ARSENAULT, BERNARD - 1950 - 2012 - Bernard Arsenault, 62, of Dieppe, NB, passed away on Friday, July 20th, 2012, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center. Born in Moncton, NB, he was the son of the late Isidore and the late Marie-Anne (née: Richard) Arsenault. Bernie was passionate about his career in the restaurant industry and enjoyed many years working alongside his brother Leonce at Centennial-Shakers, both as chef and co-owner. He also enjoyed numerous vacations with Claudiane, to the Grand Canyon, Hawaii and Florida, to name a few. The cottage and his boat "Captain Bernie" were a fine backdrop for his storytelling and comedic style. There was also his love of golf and fishing with the boys on the Miramichi. The fish stories got bigger year after year. He is survived by his wife, Claudiane (née: Plantain); two sisters: Ruth (late James) Anderson and Charline (Daniel) Collin; two brothers: Leonce (Azele) and Georges (Gloria), all of Moncton, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901) on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and also on Monday from 9:30 am until time of departure. Funeral mass will be celebrated from Saint-Anselme Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe, NB, on Monday, July 23rd, 2012 at 11 am. Interment in Saint-Anselme Parish Cemetery, Dieppe, NB. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital Foundation "Oncology" would be appreciated by the family. A Life Well Lived
