HYSLOP, RUTH L. - 1918 - 2012 - Ruth L. Hyslop, 94, of Grand Digue and formerly of Shediac Cape, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Friday morning, July 20, 2012. Born in Roslin, NS, she was the daughter of the late John and Editha (Black) MacPherson. Ruth was a former employee of Hynes Restaurant and the T. Eaton Co. Ltd., Moncton. She was a member of Zion United Church, McKees Mills and an honorary member of Zetland Chapter No. 26 O.E.S., Shediac. Ruth enjoyed knitting, crocheting, quilting, embroidery, reading and spending precious time with her family. Ruth will be sadly missed by her daughters, Edith Fawcett of Saint John, Janet Hamilton (Ronald) and Brenda Welling (Wayne), both of Shediac Cape; sons, Lester (Helen) of Maces Bay, Chester (Kay) of Kingston, NB; 28 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, nine great great grandchildren; sister, Elsie Allen (Ralph) of River John, NS; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Albert R. Hyslop (August 2003); daughter, Shirley Hyslop (2002); sons, Frank (2004) and Douglas (2010); great grandson, Mark Bishop (2012); brothers, Gordon, Edwin and Neil.
No visitation by personal request. Funeral Service at St. Martin's-in-the-Woods Anglican Church, Shediac Cape on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at 2:00 pm, The Venerable Richard McConnell officiating. Reception following the service at the Young Smith Hall. Interment, Woodlawn Cemetery, McKees Mills. Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) in care of arrangements.
