Beulah Clarke

The family of Beulah Clarke sadly announce her passing on July 20, 2012 in the Palliative Care Unit of the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Westville on February 5, 1921, she was the eldest daughter of the late Russell & Jessie (Fraser) MacDonald. Mom is survived by her four sons and their families’ Russell (Emma) and their children, Dean (Wendy), Darryl, Leslie (Troy); Donnie (Leona) and their children, Dawn (Bill), David (Wanda); Brian (Jean) and their children, Craig (Tracy), Randy (Kimberley), Derek (Julie); Ronnie (Janice) and their children, Peter (Kathleen), Timothy, and Ben. She is also lovingly remembered by her seven great grand children, also survived by her sister, Isabel (David) Jamieson, sister in law Millie MacDonald and many nieces and nephews. Mom was predeceased by Dad (Fulton) in 1982 and her brother Fraser in 1983. Beulah was the organist in the St. Andrews Presbyterian Church for over 30 years until she retired at age 85. She was also a member of the WMS Ladies Guild, The Canadian Bible Society, the Princess Rebecca Lodge, and spent many years volunteering with Red Cross Blood Donor Clinics. The Pictou Men’s Choir was also very dear to her heart. She enjoyed reading, and doing her daily cross word puzzles and crypto quotes. Arrangements are entrusted to McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou, where visitation will be held on Monday July
23, from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral service will take on Tuesday July 24 at 2PM in St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Pictou with Rev. Foster Jenkins officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mom’s memory may be made Aberdeen Palliative Care Society or the Salvation Army. Email condolences may be sent to mclaren@ns.sympatico.ca.
