Born in London, England on October 25, 1929, passed away peacefully at the Central Okanagan Hospice House in Kelowna, B.C. on Wednesday, July 18th, 2012.

Gerry was predeceased by his loving wife of 45 years, Shirley on January 11, 2007.

Gerry will be missed and lovingly remembered by his faithful partner and care-giver, Elsie Ward and his two daughters, Cathy (Roger) Cloutier and Jean (Delbert) Finlay, grandchildren, Mitchell and Lance Finlay and Kimberlee and Steven Cloutier, his sister Jean Alexander of Essex, England, and his extended family Sandra Ward, Trevor (Lisa) Ward, and grandchildren, Brayden and Chiara. Also survived by numerous relatives and friends.

The family wishes to express heartfelt thanks to Dr. J. Allison, the wonderful nurses and care-givers at Kelowna General Hospital and the Kelowna Cancer Clinic and also heartfelt thanks to the amazing staff and volunteers at the Central Okanagan Hospice House. Your care and compassion for Dad and our family will always be remembered.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, July 27th, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Faith Lutheran Church, 250 Gibbs Road, Kelowna, B.C. Cremation.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Canadian Cancer Society or Faith Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
