Our cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister slipped peacefully away from her loving family on Wednesday, July 25th, 2012 in her 95th year, following a brief illness. Predeceased by her infant son, Edward and husband, Thomas. Also by brothers, Walter, Valentine and wife Doreen, sister Frances and husband Robert Colbert, brothers-in-law George Tobin and Sylvester Pennell. Leaving with the most wonderful memories of our lives together, her devoted children: Jerome, Kevin (Ursula), Patrick (Elaine), Raymond (Patricia), Brendan, Gregory (Katie) and Elizabeth Furlong (Clifford); her grandchildren: Stephen, Susan, Christopher (Andreia), Heather (Paulo), Jennifer (Dwayne), Allison, Brian (Jillian), Blair, Craig, Curtis, Carl (Jennifer), Kevin, Michael, Jonathan, Lauren, Thomas, Kathryn and Maria; and her seven darling great-grandchildren: Jessica, Raquel, Alexandre, Adriana, Aubrey, Claire and in the great circle of life, Baby Noonan, born just hours earlier on July 25th. Also mourning the loss of their devoted friend are sisters: Eileen Tobin and Theresa Pennell, and a large circle of relatives and lifelong friends. All are saddened by the loss of a beautiful, wise and nurturing woman. The family extends their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Agnes Pratt Nursing Home and St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital ER and 7th Floor East for their compassionate, kind and tender care. You have all been wonderful. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road. Visitation will take place on Friday, July 27th from 10-12 noon, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to be held from Mary Queen of Peace Church, Torbay Road, at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 28th with interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Topsail Road.
