It was with great sorrow that the family of Dora Ellsworth of Trainor Road announces her peaceful passing surrounded by family on July 24, 2012, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, at the age of 80 years. Beloved wife of the late John “Leo” Ellsworth who died Nov. 8, 2011. Dora was born on Sept. 18, 1931, the daughter of the late Wilfred U. and Eva (Doucette) Gaudet. Cherished mother of Patrick (Freeman Stride) Ont.; Ron, Trainor Road; Lloyd (Norma), Trainor Road; Cecelia (Joe) MacRae, Merigomish, N.S.; Bernice (Joan Burgess), Elmsdale; Angela (Woody Wells), Miminegash; Darlene Gaudet, Tignish; Claudia (Francis) Gaudet, St. Edward; Richard (Kim Moorehouse), Alberta; Bernie, Miminegash; Nancy, Trainor Road; Jacinta (Ralph) Getson, O’Leary; Janice Costello, Alaska; and Vicki (Darrell) Graham, Alberton. Loving grandmother to 23 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by a brother Edward, sisters Edna (Wilbert) Gallant, Miminegash; Alice (Doug) Guitare, Miminegash; Helen (Urban) Cormier, St. Gilbert; Alvina (Julian) Arsenault, Mont Carmel; Marie (Frank) Cormier, St. Hubert. She was predeceased by her parents Wilfred and Eva, husband John “Leo”, son Carl and daughter Mona in infancy, brother Edmond and a sister Agnes. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Road, for visiting hours Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Funeral will be held Saturday at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road, where funeral mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Interment in the church cemetery. Memorial donations to Immaculate Conception Cemetery Fund would be greatly appreciated.
