Mary Boyd, 88, of Seaview Manor and formerly of Cottage Road, passed away peacefully Monday, July 30, 2012, at the Glace Bay Hospital.
She was the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Jennings) Waye.
Being a Waye family member, music was a very big part of Mary’s life. She loved her family and the time spent with them and her zest for life left a lasting impression.
She is survived by daughters, Barbara ‘Buddy’ Clifford, Sydney; granddaughter, Kristi Chiasson (Ryan Oxley); great-granddaughters, Jordyn and Emilie; sister, Mrs. Gail Anderson, Langley, B.C.; brothers, Joe (Evelyn), Sean (Jessie), Sydney, Nelson, Toronto; and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her husband, James in 1986, twin sister, Liz MacPhail, sisters, Barbara George, Violet Lee, Ann Wall and sister, Connie, in infancy, brothers, Bern, Donald, Bud and grandson, Paddy in 1993.
There will be no visitation. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 2 at T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel. Rev. T. Whent officiating.
