Lester "Vaughn" Chute

CHUTE, Lester “Vaughn”-79, Sampson Drive, Kingston, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2012 in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton after a short illness. Born in Melvern Square, he was a son of the late Llewellyn and Iva (Gates) Chute. He operated a Strawberry U-Pick for many years. He loved fishing and hunting with his son, Larry. Vaughn loved his many week-ends at the lake and coffee with his friends at the mall. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Avis (Hannam); sons, Larry, Wilmot and Guy; grandchildren, Jason (Kayla), Gananoque, Ontario; Mitchell and Danielle both of Wilmot; six great grandchildren; stepchildren, Dan Hannam, Alberta; Nancy (Barry) Lavallee, Kentville; step grandchildren, Michael and Evan and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sister, Beulah and brothers, Charles, Lloyd and Arthur. Cremation has taken place. By request there will be no visitation. A graveside service was held Monday, July 30, 2012 in Church Grove Cemetery, Melvern Square, with Rev. Leon Langille officiating. By request, family flowers only. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home 398 Main Street (902) 825-3448.
