Maurice E. Ross passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday July 31, 2012, in Mira.
Born May 14, 1924, in Sydney, he was the son of the late Maurice and Ethel (Curtis) Ross.
Maurice was a contractor and owner of Ross’ Construction.
Maurice is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Phyllis (Munro) Ross; sons, Sam (Alma), Ontario, Charles (Pina), Sydney River, John (Ange), Scott (Angela), both of Mira; daughters, Jane (Brian) Burris, Pictou, Lynn (Donald) Colson, Mira; brother, John Letournal, Westmount.
He is also survived his grandchildren, Tanya Ross, Chris and Cory Burris, Carla and Leah Ross, Justin Ross, Emma and Jesse Colson, Olivia and Kale Ross.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his granddaughter, Eve Burris.
Cremation has taken place by request. Following the wishes of Maurice there will no visitation or service.
