1956 - 2012
Bob Laffin, 56, of Scoudouc, NB, formerly of NS, passed away on Wednesday, August 1st, 2012, at his residence.
Born in Trenton, NS, he was the son of George Laffin and the late Mildred (nee Cameron).
Mr. Laffin was a former Town Clerk for the Town of New Glasgow. Bob enjoyed the outdoors, he also took pleasure in reading and hooking rugs, he will be remembered for readily sharing his opinions with friends and family.
Besides his father, George (Edna) of New Glasgow, NS, he is survived by his spouse, Valmond Bourque; one step-daughter, Mélanie Eve (Marcel) of Ottawa, ON; two step-sons, Maxime and Nicholas, both of Moncton; one sister, Debbie Laffin of Trenton, NS; five step-sisters; two brothers, Bruce (Bev) of Trenton, NS and Dave (Lisa) of Stellarton, NS; one step-brother; three nieces: Jennifer, Amanda and Jillian; one nephew, Justin, as well as several step-nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901) on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and also on Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of service.
Funeral service will be celebrated from the Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel, Dieppe, NB, on Saturday, August 4th, 2012 at 10 a.m.
Donations to either of the local hospitals, the Canadian Cancer Society or the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
