SCOTT, Lottie Theresa – 83, of the Villa St Joseph Du Lac and formerly of Plymouth, passed away August 2, 2012 in the Villa St Joseph Du Lac surrounded by her loved ones. Born April 19, 1929 she was a daughter of the late Armand and Josephine (Melanson) Leblanc. Lottie loved to play her guitar and sing. In her early years she worked at the East Camp, Cotton Mill, cooked on the island, and later in life worked at the fish plant. She was an avid bowler, quilter, card player, and took many trips to Halifax with the girls. She loved her lord and sang in the church choir for many years. She is survived by children, Gerald(Edna) Deveau, Meteghan; Norma(Mel) Newell, Raynardton; Patsy(Larry) Pitcher, Plymouth; Lorraine (Herb) Bain, Plymouth; Wallace(Thelma), Fort Mc Murray; William (Sally), Moods Mill; stepson, David(Joanne) Carston, Yarmouth; brother, Wilburn(Edith) LeBlanc; 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she is predeceased by her loving husband of 49 years, Willard Earl Scott; grandsons, Andy Newell and Jeffrey Pitcher; siblings, Herman, Leo, Tim, Walter, Vernon, Marion, Ethel and Bertha. Lottie always had a smile on her face and will be sadly missed by all that knew her. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home & Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation took place Friday, August 3 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m in Sweeny’s Funeral Home South Room. A funeral service was held Saturday, August 4 at 11 a.m from Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Craig Minard and Rev. Raymond Pitcher officiated. Interment followed in Plymouth cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in Lottie’s memory may be made to the New Heights Baptist Church, Plymouth Cemetery Fund, or the charity of your choice.
