At the age of 71, passed peacefully away on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 after a short yet courageous fight against cancer. Predeceased by her husband Val, parents William and Jane and her sisters Genevieve, Mary, and Carrie. Leaving to mourn sons: David St. Croix (Debbie), André (Angela) and Terry (Joyce); grandchildren: Brandon, Kayla, Hillary, Noah, and Gabriel; sister Bernadette Williams (Harry); brother-in-law Bob Hamlyn; many nieces and nephews and a large circle of family and friends from the Southern Shore and Tilting, Fogo Island. Many thanks to and appreciation for the care and support received from the doctors and nurses of St. Clare's 7th East, Cancer Clinic and the Palliative Care Unit. Special thanks to Carmel Collins RN NP, Dr. Rod McCarthy and to Deacon Des Keating for his home visits. Following cremation, remains resting at Ryan's Funeral Home on Saturday, August 4 and Sunday, August 5 from 2-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial to take place from Sts. Peter and Paul R.C. Church, Bay Bulls on Monday at 10:30 a.m. Inurnment to follow at Our Lady of Mount Loretta R.C. Cemetery, Bay Bulls.
