At the Western Hospital on Tuesday, July 31, 2012, of Thelma Clarice (Dalton) Phillips of Maplewood Manor, formerly of Mount Royal, aged 89 years, wife of the late Sanford E. Phillips. Born on July 12, 1923, daughter of the late Jeremiah and Alice Victoria (Adams) Dalton. Loving mother to Marlene Dumville, Mount Royal, and Willard (Gertrude), Calgary, Alta. Cherished grandmother to Virginia (Beecher) Woodside, Poplar Grove; Darren (Lisa) Dumville, Kildare; Deryk (Tami) Phillips, Rocky Mountain House, Alta.; Merle (Linda) Rayner, Calgary; Phyllis Rayner, Calgary; Daryl (Belinda) Rayner, B.C., 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Loving sister of Olive Coughlin, St. Eleanors. Sister-in-law of Gertrude Phillips, Sussex, N.B.; Pansy Phillips, Anne Phillips, and Doris Phillips, all of O’Leary; and Marion Darrach, Charlottetown. Predeceased by her husband Sanford, parents, grandson Winston Dumville; sisters Gertrude (Marne) Lewis, Eva (George) Clark, Bernice Dalton; brother Lloyd (Vera) Dalton; brother-in-law Everett Coughlin and several nieces and nephews. Resting at the Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O’Leary, with visiting hours Friday, Aug. 3, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral on Saturday at the O’Leary United Church at 10 a.m. Interment to follow in the Mount Royal Peoples Cemetery. In memory of Thelma, memorials to the Mount Royal Peoples Cemetery or Alzehimers Association would be appreciated.
