Rosslyn (LeLoup) MacLean died peacefully surrounded by her loving family Monday, Aug. 6, 2012, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
Born in New Waterford, she was the daughter of Catherine (Kay MacDonald) and the late Wilson Ross LeLoup.
Rosslyn is survived by her two loving children, Aaron Muise (Shauna MacArthur) of Sydney, and Wendy Muise of Calgary. She is also survived by her brother, Paul (Sandra), Halifax; sister-in-law, Gail, New Waterford; nephew and nieces, John, Lisa, Megan, Kayla and special friends, Zachary, Grace and Connell.
Besides her father, she was predeceased by her husband John (Freddie) MacLean and brother John LeLoup.
The family would like to thank all of the friends especially Mary and Valerie, neighbours, doctors and the entire staff in sections 4D, 4B and Palliative Care. Your kindness and compassion has been heartfelt and made a world of difference to us over the last few months.
There will be no visitation. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012, in the Parish of Saint Leonard with Fr. Ray Huntley officiating. Interment in Union Grove Cemetery followed by a luncheon at the Parish Hall, Convent Street.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Mclellan Brothers Funeral Home, 3183 Plummer Ave., New Waterford, 862 7500.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit (4E) or the Canadian Cancer Society.
