Beatrice May Letcher

Letcher, Beatrice May – 85, Truro, passed away August 4, 2012 in The Mira. Born in Truro, she was a daughter of the late Lindsay and Zolah (Taylor) MacLellan. She was raised in Bass River, and in 1946 began working at Stanfield’s Limited. Music was a mainstay in her life, and she enjoyed attending dances with Wallace. She took pride in looking after her home and family, and her distinctive, infectious laugh and sense of humour will be remembered by those who knew her.
Surviving is her daughter, Lorna. She was predeceased by her husband, Wallace in 2000; sister, Marjorie Holliday in 2011.
Cremation has taken place. Friends and family can gather on Wednesday at 6 p.m., followed by a celebration of her life at 7 p.m., both in Truro Alliance Church, 29 Phillip Street, Truro, Pastor Scott Penner officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Society of Nova Scotia or Canadian Diabetes Association.
Arrangements are under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit.
