The death occurred at the Dr. John M. Gillis Memorial Lodge, Eldon, on Monday, August 6, 2012, of Cecil Morrissey of Newtown Cross, age 85 years.
Survived by sisters, Rose (Eugene) McKenna, Marguerite McRae and brother, Clifford (Noma) Morrissey; sister-in-law, Maryanne Morrissey; brother-in-law, Marcellus MacDonald. Predeceased by parents, Michael and Hannah (McCarthy) Morrissey; brother, Charles; sister, Lorna MacDonald; brother-in-law, Bill McRae. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, Stratford, for visitation on Wednesday, August 8, from 5-8 p.m. Funeral from St. Michael’s Church, Iona, on Thursday, August 9, at 10 a.m. Interment in the church cemetery.
Donations gratefully accepted for Dr. John M. Gillis Memorial Lodge.
