Kevin Bridges
Kevin V. Bridges, 49, of Moncton, N.B., with his loving family at his side, passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012 after a long and extremely courageous battle with lung cancer. Born in Summerside, P.E.I., he was the son of Vance and Sheila (Oag) of Summerside. Kevin was a long-time manger of OK Tire in Moncton. He enjoyed life to the fullest and would light up any room with his quick humour, stories and laughter. Kevin enjoyed playing poker, watching football and NASCAR, but most of all spending time with his family and friends. He was a very loving husband, wonderful father and best friend to all that truly knew him. There are no words to describe the impact he had and the smiles he put on faces of all that were fortunate to know him. Kevin had a passion to complete various home improvements around the house, while fighting cancer. Besides his parents, Vance and Sheila, Kevin will be sadly missed by his wife of 26 years, Janet (Keough); son, Tyler Bridges (Isabelle Robichaud) and daughter, Jalisa Bridges, both of Moncton; brother, Douglas Bridges (Debbie) of Charlottetown; sisters, Karen MacLean (Kenny) and Wendy Murray (Milo), both of Summerside; mother and father-in-law, Bobby and Betsy Keough of Summerside; sisters-in-law, Donna Caissie (John) of Calgary and Lisa Dawson (Stephen) of Cape Traverse, P.E.I.; special aunt, Nannin; several nieces, nephews, extended family members and his special four legged companion, "Nellie". Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (506-858-1995) on Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A Celebration of Life Service for Kevin will be held at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, Aug. 11, at 11 a.m. with Dan Marand officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. In Kevin's memory, donations to The Friends of the Moncton Hospital (New Oncology Clinic) would be appreciated by the family.
