The death of Mrs. Irene Cormier of St. Philippe, wife of the late Henri Cormier, occurred on Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2012, surrounded by her family at the Prince County Hospital at the age of 71. Daughter of the late Jadus Arsenault and the late Catherine Caissie. She leaves to mourn her seven children Yvette (Allen) of Urbainville, Gloria (Rheal) of Mont-Carmel, Daniel and Charles of St. Philippe, and Adrien (Eleanor), Ronald (Rose), Christine (Peter) all of St. Eleanors. She is also survived by one sister Rita Arsenault of Charlottetown and by 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was also predeceased by her son Eric and by two brothers Marc and Norman who died in infancy. Resting at the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville until Monday morning then to the St. Philippe and St. Jacques Church for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the church cemetery at a later time. At the request of the family, there will only be visiting hours on Sunday evening from 7-9 for the family, relatives and friends. Memorial donations made the St. Philippe and St. Jacques Church would be appreciated.
