Lucy Louise Reid
The death occurred peacefully, with family by her side, at the Prince County Hospital on Friday, August 10, 2012, of Louise Reid (nee Carr), "The Rock", of Stanley Bridge, age 73.
Louise was the beloved wife of Brendan Reid; the loving mother of Anne Berkholtz (Ivan), Barb Schulter (Tony), Garth Reid (Patty), Kay Wakelin (Tony) and Earl Reid (Joan). She will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren, Chris Berkholtz (Lisa), Sharlee Pardy (Keith); Colin Peters; Krista Rae Kastiro (Mark), Chad Wakelin (Dorothy); and Kristen, Johanna and Matthew Reid; and her eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Robert Carr (Phyllis); sisters, Jean Milne (John) and Anne Birkholtz (Norm); sisters-in-law, Lorraine Carr and Donna Carr; her aunt and uncle Jane and Clyde Pollard; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Louise was predeceased by her parents, Earl and Christine (Manderson) Carr; and her brothers, George Carr and Harvey Carr.
Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Monday, August 13, 2012, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, Hope River, on Tuesday, August 14, 2012, at 10 a.m. Interment in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Valley.
