The death occurred peacefully at the Summerset Manor, Summerside, on Monday, Aug. 13, 2012, of Elizabeth “Betty” Perry of Summerside, aged 82 years. Betty was born on Feb. 25, 1930, in Wellington, to her late parents Sylvere and Kathleen Perry. Beloved wife of the late Fidele Perry and loving mother of Cindy (Doug) Thomson of Summerside. Lovingly remembered by her granddaughter Brittney Thomson and several nieces and nephews. Survived by the following sisters: Edith White of Ontario, Kay Williams of Clinton, Elsie Silliker and Una McCarville both of Summerside. Besides her parents and husband, Betty was predeceased by her brother Don Perry, her sisters Marie Corkery and Doris Stevens, her brothers-in-law David McCarville, Steve Stevens, Ed Silliker and Emmett Williams, and sister-in-law Gloria Perry. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside, until Wednesday, Aug. 15, then to St. Paul’s Church, Summerside, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery. Visiting hours on Tuesday evening only, 7-9 p.m. Memorial donations in Betty’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Society would be greatly appreciated. Online condolences can be sent to epfuneral@eastlink.ca.
