Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family at Glenbrook Lodge, St. John’s on Aug. 5, 2012, Robert Senior age 79 years. He is predeceased by his loving wife of 54 years Neala Evelyn Brake Senior, son-in-law Raymond Gamble, brother Jack Senior, parents Hannah and George Senior, parents-in-law James and Minetta Brake, brother-in-law Gerald Brake and his wife Eileen. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his loving children, Holly Reeves (Ivan Langdon), Shelley Senior, Kathy Moore (Patrick Moore), Natalie Dutchak (Kevin Dutchak), and Melanie Gamble (Paul Rideout); ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Cora Senior, and Olive Beatie (Doug Beatie); brothers-in-law Alva Brake (Edna Brake), and John Brake (Thelma Brake). Robert was a very loving papa and a favourite uncle to his many nieces and nephews. His family was his life, and he loved nothing better than to get together to break bread and make music with his devoted family. Robert was also a well-respected businessman in Port aux Basques where he operated Bob’s Chicken Coop for 40 plus years. Visitation took place on Tuesday, Aug. 7, and Wednesday, Aug. 8. A memorial service took place at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Wednesday, Aug. 8, at 2 p.m. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road, St. John’s.
