(1955–2012). Passed away after a lengthy illness on August 16th, 2012 at age 57. Predeceased by her mother Joy Johnson, daughter Diana Joy Johnson, her first husband John Simms and mother-in-law Mary Ballard. Leaving to mourn are her loving husband and caregiver Brock Ballard; her father Paul Johnson (Sally); brothers: Darroch and David (Heather Marie); one sister Lois Desjardins (Robert); Robin Kenny (Dave) and John Kuehn (Rosemary); five nieces; six nephews; two god-children Alexis Johnson and Michaela Brocklehurst; also the entire Brocklehurst family and special niece Natasha Brocklehurst; close friends: Barbara Goodyear, Jacqui Brocklehurst, Tina FitzPatrick, and Randy Hicks. Her special four-legged friends Remy, Telea, and Amber. Also leaving to mourn a large circle of extended family and friends whom Heather touched deeply with her generous spirit and loving ways. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Monday, August 20, 2012 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., Tuesday, August 21, 2012 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place from the Carnell Memorial Chapel at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday August 22, 2012.
