The death occurred at the Wedgewood Manor, Summerside, on Monday, Aug. 20, 2012, of Eva Lyle of Summerside, aged 93 years. Born in New Glasgow, N.S., she was the daughter of the late Henry and Margaret (Cotton) Connell. Survived by her children Wendell (Betty) Lyle, Sherbrooke; Joyce (Robert) Gordon, Winnipeg, Man.; Claudia (Reagh) Clark, Charlottetown; Claude (Janet) Lyle, Summerside; Garth (Nancy) Lyle, St. Eleanors; Ronald (Judy) Lyle, Halifax, N.S.; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; special niece Ramona (Charles) Tanton, St. Eleanors. Predeceased by her husband Ralph Lyle; brothers James (Lillian) and Borden (Marion) Connell; sisters Mamie (Roy) Thompson and Evelyn (George) Gregory. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Friday, then to St. John's Anglican Church, St. Eleanors, for funeral service at 2 p.m. Interment in St. John's Anglican Cemetery, St. Eleanors. Visiting hours Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial donations to St. John's Anglican Cemetery or to the Wedgewood Manor Memorial Trust Fund would be appreciated.
