Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family at the Carbonear General Hospital on Thursday, August 23, 2012, Annie G. Garland of Carbonear, age 82 years. Predeceased by infant daughter: Jocelyn; parents: John and Gertrude Pelley; granddaughter: April; brothers: Silas, Malcolm, William, Edward, Frank and Arthur; sisters: Florence, Rose and Sophie. Left to mourn, husband: Clifford; two daughters: Judy (Calvin) Peddle, Spaniard’s Bay and Mae (John) Thistle, Carbonear; one son: Bruce (Jean), Carbonear; four grandchildren: Terri, Joe, Vanessa (Terry) and Sheldon (Michelle); two great-grandchildren: Claire and Samantha; one sister: Jean Clarke, Carbonear; special friends: Violet Rossiter and Edna Moore, both of Carbonear; also a large number of other relatives and friends. At Annie’s request cremation has taken place. Rev. Mark Janes conducted a private family service was held at Noel’s Memorial Chapel, Carbonear.
