Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, August 25, 2012, Gordon Pitcher of Hopeall, aged 84 years. Predeceased by his wife, Helen (Hoskins) and Dorean (Tucker); parents, brothers, sisters and daughter, Lillian. Left to mourn are his large family of sons and daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as a number of other relatives and friends. The family extends a special thank you to the caring staff at Carbonear General Hospital and his home care workers. Resting at Warren's Funeral Home, Dildo with visitation on Sunday, August 26th at 10:00am until Monday, 12:00 noon. The funeral service will be held from Hopeall United Church on Monday, August 27th at 2:00pm. Interment to follow at Hopeall United Church Cemetery.
