JONES, DOREEN CATHERINE (TOTTEN) (BLIZZARD) - The family of Doreen Catherine (Totten) (Blizzard) Jones announces her passing on Sunday, August 26, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was born November 19, 1930 in Saint John to the late Percy and Annie (MacDonald) Totten. Doreen loved dancing and music; she played the organ and guitar, and sang with The Teenster Trio in her teenage years. She had a beautiful voice and sang often. Doreen retired from the Boys & Girls Club as their Building Supervisor. Working with the children was rewarding to her, and it was a job she enjoyed very much. Doreen is survived by a son, Michael A. Blizzard (Charlane); daughters, Carol Ann Blizzard (Nick Lignos) and Sylvia O'Brien (John); grandchildren: Josh, Celina, Nicole, Leo, Nick, Jason, and Lisa; great-grandchildren, Kalie and Shane; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, George; and her sisters: Marion, Edith, and Helen.
Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 & Thursday, August 30, 2012 from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 PM. The Funeral Service will be celebrated from Brenan's Chapel on Friday, August 31, 2012 at 10:00 AM. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
