Passed peacefully away surrounded by her loving family, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer, at the Dr. L. A. Miller Centre on August 30, 2012, Joy Sears, aged 69 years. Predeceased by her infant son Kerry (1959), father David (1985), brother David (1976), and brother Ray (1986). Leaving to mourn, her mother Phyllis Squires; children: Cheryl Martin (Tony), David Noftle, Todd Noftle (Lenora), Dawn King (Rick), Joy Murray (Rob) and Kerry Sears (Julie); grandchildren: Chris (Kathryn), Matt King (Julie), Richie Hayward, David O’Reilly, Heidi (Jon), Zachary and Nicholas Murray, Claudia and Callie Sears, Dwane (Amanda), Jason (Melissa) and Stephen Whelan; three great-grandchildren: Cameron, Mallorie, and Rayelle; five sisters, five brothers and their families, as well as many nieces, nephews, family and friends including close friend Marie Tobin. Visitation will be held from Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave., on Friday, August 31, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A private family service with interment will be held at a later date.
