It is with great sadness that the families of Violet Marie Hillier (nee Newman) announce her passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, NL, on Wednesday, August 29th, 2012, at the age of 73 years, leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her sister; Francis, of New York, U.S.A, her special nephews; Barry (Cindy) Newman, their children & grandchildren; Renee Newman (Darrell), Cody, Cameron & Jayden, & special cousin; Benson (Nancy) Pearce, her step children; Nina (Brian) Hillier, Roy Hillier, Rick (Hazel) Hillier, & Leon (Cindy), 8 grandchildren & 6 great grandchildren, Violet was predeceased by her husband; Lewis Hillier, parents; Wilfred & Julie Newman. Also leaves to mourn a large extended family & friends. The family received family and friends from the Salvation Army Church in Englee, NL, on Saturday, September 1st, and Sunday, September 2nd, 2012 from the hours of 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 pm, where also the funeral service will take place from on Monday, September 3rd, 2012 at 2:00 pm with Majors Henry & Beatrice Bingle officiating with the burial to follow at the church cemetery in Englee, NL.
