Neil, Ronald Lawrence – 82, Truro, passed away Saturday, September 1, 2012 in the Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Truro, he was a son of the late Ralph and Alida (MacLean) Neil. Ron was a sailor in his earlier years and later went to work at the National Knitting Mill in Ontario where he worked as a knitter and also did maintenance on the machinery. Upon his retirement Ron became a “Gentleman Cottager” in both Ontario and Nova Scotia.
He is survived by a son Larry of Truro.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brother Morris; step-father Kenneth MacCallum.
No visitation or funeral service by Ron’s request. Burial will take place at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro.
