Teresa E. Daye, 82, of Glace Bay passed away Monday, Sept. 3, 2012, at home.
Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Tom and Margaret (Younge) Daye. Teresa was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #12. She will be sadly missed by all of her friends at Tim Hortons. She enjoyed her time talking and laughing and carrying on with them. She also enjoyed feeding the ducks at Renwick Park. She had a knowledge of information and she knew Glace Bay’s history like no other and she could tell you lots of stories.
Teresa is survived by three brothers, Marty, Patrick and Tommy Daye and by her very close friend, whom she loved just like a daughter, Diane Cohen and her daughter, Cheryl Cartrright.
She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Arthur.
Visitation for Teresa will be held Friday from 7-9 p.m. with a funeral service in the chapel at 10 a.m. on Saturday followed by a legion service; all from the Patten Funeral Home, 71 Union St., Glace Bay. Fr. Leo Boone officiating. Interment to follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
