Of Witless Bay. (Age 71). Passed away at Escasoni, Hoyles Escasoni Complex on Saturday, September 8, 2012, in the presence of her family. Predeceased by her parents Bridget and John Vickers, brother Patrick Vickers (Florence), sister Dolores O'Reilly (Terry). Celebrating her life, daughters: Jackie, Michele, Gwen (Roy Rideout), Marian; sons: Norman and Dennis; her sister Sr. Regina Vickers, Presentation Congregation; her brother-in-law Terry, and sister-in-law Florence, several grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Resting at Ryan's Funeral Home, Bay Bulls. Visitation: Sunday, Sept. 9th 5 - 9 p.m., Monday, Sept. 10th 2 - 4 p.m., and 7 - 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, Sept. 11th at 10:30 a.m., St. Patrick's Church, Witless Bay. Cremation to follow. A very special thank you to the nursing staff 1 East for their care over the past two and a half years and the many home care workers, especially Valerie Carter and Elaine Lundrigan, who cared for Carmelita in Witless Bay for many years before her entrance to Escasoni.
