It is with great sadness the family announces that Marie Fryfogel passed away on September 6th, 2012 in Kamloops, B.C. after a short fight with lung cancer.

She is survived by her Daughters: Penny Wilson and Valerie Wilson of Kamloops. Grandchildren: Dayton, Rayne, Isaac, and Chloe. Siblings: George (Beth), Karen, Joan, Nancy (Dave), Pamella (Don).

She was predeceased by siblings Eddie, Linda and David.

Born on May 17th, 1953 in Wingham, Ontario to Ted and Helen Whitby, Marie moved to Kamloops in 1980 where she raised her family and spent much of her working life as a cook.

A free spirit, Marie liked to spend her spare time visiting with friends, watching movies and going for walks. When the girls were little, she enjoyed taking them on camping trips and going for scenic Sunday tours. With an infectious laugh Marie was always inviting and welcoming to strangers and friends a like. She was known for having an open ear and people often sought her out for a piece of advice, a shoulder to lean on or even a silly joke. She touched many lives and will be greatly missed.

Celebration of her life will be held 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 13th at The Salvation Army Church 344 Poplar Street, Kamloops, B.C.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request donations be made in Marie's name to the Salvation Army, or the Kamloops SPCA.
