Hennessey, Patsy Joyce, 76 of Digby passed away September 7, 2012 in the Digby General Hospital. Born in Digby, She was a daughter of the late Boyd and Rita (Handspiker) Germaine. In her younger years, she moved to Toronto where she lived and worked for 50 years. She retired back to Digby where she built her home. She was a drummer for the band “Rythme Sweethearts” for 7 years and played in their self titled album “The Rythme Sweethearts”. She was an avid Toronto Blue Jays fan and loved to work in her yard. Surviving are sisters Jean Germaine, Edna (Roger) Spidle, brothers Douglas ( Helen) , James (Mickey) , Melvin (Pat) , and Richard Germaine, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by Her husband Bernard, sister Kathleen Deveau, brothers, Robert, Kenneth, Donald, William . At Patsy’s request there will be no visitation. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date. Donations in memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
