Passed peacefully away at the Lion’s Manor Nursing Home, Placentia on September 12, 2012 Peter Griffiths, better known as Poppy Pete, in his 77th year. Predeceased by his wife Catherine (Kitty) and special friend Marie; his parents Michael and Jane and his sister Elizabeth. Leaving to mourn are his children (Anne) Marie (Gerard), Peter (Glenda); his grandchildren Tiffany (Shannon), Courtney, Petie (Kim) and Gerard (Rebecca); his great-grandkids Madison, Hunter and Lydia; sisters Mary (Jose), Jean (Marie) and Ann (Sissy); as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Maher’s Funeral Home, Placentia on Thursday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Friday from 12 p.m to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass to take place 11 a.m. on Saturday at St. Anne’s Church, Dunville.
