OLIVE, MARGARET "MARGIE" ANNE - It is with great sadness that the family of Margie Olive announce her passing on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton. Margie was 62. Born in Fredericton on October 27, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Jean (Gay) Olive. Margie was Roman Catholic by faith. In the early years of her working career she taught school on Campobello Island and later worked for Marriott Call Centre as a Reservation Agent. For many years Margie was a faithful and dedicated canvasser for the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Margie will always be remembered for her sweet and gentle spirit and she will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Margie dearly loved her family especially her grandchildren who were the light in her life. Margie is survived by two loving and devoted children, her daughter Wendie Blais-Brown (Gavin) of Fredericton and her son Joseph Blais (Heather) of Gagetown; two much loved and adored grandchildren, Victoria and Rowen Brown. Margie is also survived by her brother, Harry Olive (Anna) of Fredericton; a nephew, Robert Olive (Megan) of Fredericton; two aunts, Frances Maxam of Richmond, BC and Margaret Gibson of Fredericton; two uncles, Fred Gay and John Gay both of Fredericton; cousins. Her parents and an uncle, Bob Gay predeceased her.
The family will receive condolences at Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton on Monday, September 17, 2012 from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. followed by a memorial service from Bishop’s Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday at 11:00 AM with Father Owen Burns officiating.
