Passed away at the Health Science Centre on Friday, September 14th, 2012 at the age of 78 years. Predeceased by his wife Mary (Cole); brother – in – law Joseph Cole; Mother and Father – in – law and other members of the Cole family, Also predeceased by his father and mother Alexander and Margaret (Guilfoyle); sister Bridget Berryman (Richard) of California. Leaving to mourn with wonderful memories his loving and devoted companion Edith Laite and family; his son Michael (Marie); brothers Donald (Judy), Stephenville Crossing and Wayne of Stephenville, Gary (Eileen) of Fort McMurray; sisters Gertie McCarthy (Leonard - deceased), Darlene White (Arthur), Marleen Benoit, all of Stephenville Crossing and Elizabeth Houghton (Donald) of Massachusetts, USA. Also many nieces, nephews, in Newfoundland and other parts of Canada and United States. Michael also leaving to mourn a large number of very special friends from the Rainbow 50 + Club, Portugal Cove, St. Philips, the CN Pensioners Association, The Senators Club (Knights of Columbus), Darts Club of the Knights of Columbus and the St. Philips Portugal Cove. He was also a fourth degree knight of Terra Nova Council No. 1452. Special thanks to Father John Courage, Father Gary Parsons, Father Devasahayan and Father Roche. Special thank you to all the nurses and doctors on 5 South A and CICU for their special care. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Saturday from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, September 17th, 2012 from St. Teresa’s Church, Mundy Pond Road at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
