Peacefully at her residence, Jubilee Home, O¹Leary, on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 of Jennie Rosemond Betts aged 88, wife of the late Vernon Betts. Born in Knutsford on January 16, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Truman and Jennie (Yeo) Harris. Dear mother to Mary (Charles) Baglole, Charlottetown; Lennie (Hillary) Skerry, Alberton;Vera (Scott) LeLacheur, Stratford; Lorraine Matheson (Donnie Ellis), Covehead; Olive (Watson) Silliker, O¹Leary and Truman, Glenwood. Loving grandmother to 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Jennie is also survived by Lois (Don) MacDonald, Hamilton, ON; sister Sara Pelkey, New Hampshire, USA; half brothers and sisters: Newton Harris, Howlan; Alton (Florence) Harris, O¹Leary; Maude (Don) Smith, Souris Ralph Harris, Georgetown and her best friend Doreen Matheson.Predeceased by her parents, husband, sister Amy Gray, half brother Evan and her step mother Vera (Sweet) Harris. Resting at the Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O¹Leary with visiting hours Friday 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral will be held Saturday at 10:30am in the Chapel. Interment to follow in Glenwood United Church Cemetery. In memory of Jennie, memorials to Multiple Sclerosis Society or Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
