Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Thursday, September 20, 2012 of Edward J. Gillis, C.D., of Charlottetown, age 90 years.
Cherished husband of 64 years to Eileen (MacDonald) Gillis. Loving father of Margo, Edward (Pat), Geraldine (David) Forsythe and Christine (Dave) Arthur. Brother to Kathleen Gillis. Loving grandfather to Jeff, Suzanne, Daryl and Amanda Guignion, Joseph, Jay and Dana Gillis, Kathleen, Charlotte and Stephen Forsythe, and Adeline Arthur; and great-grandfather to Jacob, Kyzly and Naara; and special uncle to many nephews and nieces.
Predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Mary Gillis; brothers, Stephen, Frederick, Camillus and Bernard; and sisters, Beatrice, Florence
and Bernice.
Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home until Monday at 9:45 a.m., then to the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown.
Visitation Sunday 2-5 p. m.
