MARTINOSKI: Marlene Evelyn Grace (Palmer) Martinoski passed away September 19, 2012 at the Cypress Regional Hospital, Swift Current, SK. She was born on October 22, 1934 in Prosperity District near Rocanville, SK. Eldest of three children born to A. Maxwell Palmer and Clara O. Palmer, she grew up in the Rocanville area. She boarded with her Grandma Christian and Aunt Rachel and developed a sisterly relationship with her cousins. She met Leonard Martinoski in 1953 and they were married on October 1, 1955 and set up residence in Swift Current, SK. They raised five children: Dwayne (Karon)(sons: Andrew, David), Leta (Doug Heuer)(children: Nicole (Gary Pope), Anthony (Amy), Rebecca (Travis Sorenson), Larry, Saralee (Dean Moraes)(children: Benjamin, Maxwell, Ava) and Neil. She is survived by her husband, children, 8 grand children, 1 great-grand daughter, sister Verla Groskleg, brother Delbert Palmer, sister-in-law Elsie (Bev Sutton), Marilyn Martinoski, many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is pre-deceased by her parents, infant sister Linda, in-laws (Anthony and Emilia Martinoski), brother-in-law Libbert Martinoski, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. The memorial service took place Monday, September 24, 2012 at 1:30 P.M. at the First United Church, Swift Current, SK, with Shirley Wilson officiating. The interment of her cremated remains followed at the Columbarium at Mount Pleasant Burial Park Cemetery.
