Carleen Marie Connolly
Carleen Marie Connolly of Charlottetown, P.E.I., passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, following a brief illness.
Born in Saint John, N.B., on September 10, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Leonard J. Connolly of Sussex, N.B., and the late Estelle E. Connolly (McKenna) of Charlottetown, P.E.I.
Carleen grew up in Sussex and was a 1973 graduate of Sussex High School. She later made her home in Charlottetown where she worked for Co-Op Atlantic food stores for many years.
She is survived by her long-time partner, Eugene Toole, of Charlottetown; her brothers, Jaime Connolly (Susan) of Fredericton, N.B., and Michael Connolly of Sussex, N.B.; her sister, Mary Beth Powell (Larry) of Coldbrook, N.S.; her nieces, Megan Powell of Halifax, N.S., and Brooke Connolly of Toronto, ON; and her nephews, Ryan Powell of Ottawa, ON, Dylan Powell of Coldbrook, N.S., and Blake Connolly of Toronto, ON.
In keeping with Carleen's wishes, there was no visitation or funeral service.
