CLOWATER, LAWRENCE ALFRED - The passing of Lawrence Alfred “Junior” Clowater, husband of Betty (O’Donnell) Clowater occurred on Sunday, September 23, 2012 at the Central New Brunswick Nursing Home. Born on March 11, 1934 in New Bandon, NB, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Verna (O’Donnell) Clowater. He was a self employed wood contractor. Junior enjoyed camping, playing cards and loved to be outdoors. In addition to his wife, Junior is survived by his daughters, Joyce Clowater, Vickie Munn (Stanley), Shelley Estey (Michael) and Sherry Squires (Terry); grandchildren, Derek Munn (Lyn), Danny Munn, Michael Munn, Nicole Estey, Jacob Estey, Katie Squires, Kalan and Kody Squires; great grandchildren, Lia Munn, Jackson Estey, Kylar Estey and Kenzie Munn; sisters, Zelda O’Donnell and Gertrude McCormick; brother, Lloyd Clowater (Gail); several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Hudson, Earl and Cyril Clowater.
Visitation will take place at Miramichi Valley Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at Miramichi Valley Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at 2 pm with Rev. Dr. Brian Spence officiating and Rev. J. A. Treese assisting. Interment will take place in St. James Anglican Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the St. James Anglican Church.
