Millie Averill

It is with profound gratitude and love that we must announce the passing of our dear wife and mother, Millie Averill, on the morning of September 23. She is survived by her loving husband of 74 years, Henry, her children Jack (Dianne), Candice (Ron), Mavis (Dave), Kaysie, (Ron) and her daughter-in-law, Judy, and by her many beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as her two sisters-in-law, Mabel (Gordon) and Mary. She was predeceased by her brothers, Raymond (Edna), Jack (Joyce), Ted (Alva), her son Garry, her son-in-law, Shane, and her granddaughter, Laurel.
She lived large, loved immensely, was loved by all who knew her and her generous spirit will be missed. She was a wonderful partner to her husband, a devoted and giving mother and grandmother, a fun-loving friend, a dedicated helper in her work. She loved to visit, to play bingo, to sew, to sing and to whistle. Her last few years were difficult because of health issues, but before that time she lived life to the fullest and had a chance to do nearly everything that she wanted to do. We are grateful for her life, for her love, for her faith,for her example and she will live on in each of us.
A celebration of her life will be held at Shepherd’s Care in Barrhead AB where she resided with her husband, at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 29. If you wish, donations could be made in her name to Tele-Miracle which was a charity that she supported.
