Peacefully, at Park West Lodge, on Friday, September 28, 2012 of Joy Fraser (Josie Amelia Herring), formerly of Hopefield and Murray River, in her 87th year.
Beloved wife of the late Daniel M. Fraser and loving mother of Hubert (Joyce), Stratford and Douglas, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Dear grandmother of Nicholas (Tonia Viaene), Eldon and Stephanie, Stratford. Joy is survived by her brother, Clifford Herring (Norma), Murray River; sister, Margaret Herring, Charlottetown; sisters-in-law, Eileen Herring, Calgary; Mary Pipke, Toronto and Minnie Bain, Charlottetown and numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents Capt. Louis H. Herring and Josie Ann (Beck) and by siblings Harry, Louis, Myrtle, May, Friend, Len, John, Hubert and June.
Resting at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel. Visiting hours on Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral will be held at the Murray River Church of Christ on Sunday at 2 p.m. Interment in the Wood Islands Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Maritime Christian College or The Alzheimer's Society.
