David Parker

David Parker

PARKER, DAVID GEORGE WILLIAM - It is with great sorrow and sadness that his family announces the passing of David Parker. David was born on October 1, 1942, in Fredericton, New Brunswick. He was the son of the late George and Jennie (McKay). He was predeceased by his loving wife of 44 years, Elsie (Underhill), daughters Lori McCloskey and Vicki Greene (Troy) and his three grandchildren Zachary and Andrew McCloskey, and Matthew Greene. He is also survived by two sisters Donna (Charlie) Brewer and Sheila Cronkite. From 1962-1969 David served in the military reserves and overseas as a Peace Keeper with the Royal Canadian Dragoons. After leaving the forces he graduated from Trade School in 1970 as a Bricklayer. He was well known and very respected in his trade. In his early years, he was a feisty fellow but behind that tough exterior he had a huge heart for giving and would go to any length to help others.
In honour of David’s wishes there will be no visitation or memorial service. Memorial contributions to the Fredericton SPCA or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences and the sharing of memories may be expressed through www.bishopsfuneralhome.com
