Lieu de naissance : Sydney, Nouvelle Ecosse, Canada
Lieu de décès : Louisbourg, Nouvelle Ecosse, Canada
Date de décès : 29 septembre 2012
Our hearts break with the loss of the light in our family, Germaine Marie LeMoine.
She passed away Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, at the Cape Beton Regional Hospital, Sydney, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of Earl Wilcox and the late Allane Wilcox.
There are so many things we would like to share about Germaine. Picture a beautiful woman with the most brilliant smile, who loved to sing; loved to dance, loved her family; whose presence illuminated any room.
An accomplished professional who strived for the highest good of all, Germaine’s career was based in Public Relations and Communications. Most recently she held a position with Parks Canada. Prior to this she worked with the Joint Action Group, Cape Breton University, Northside Hospital, Syncrude Canada, Maritime Electric Co. Ltd., and HB Nickerson and Sons. Germaine was very involved in the Cape Breton community serving both as volunteer (United Way, Terry Fox Run, hospital foundations, etc.) and as executive member of professional associations. She was also owner of the Cranberry Cove Inn in Louisbourg and an active Justice of the Peace. Of all that she did, she was most proud of her three fine sons.
Besides her father, she is survived by her loving husband, David; sons, Angus, (Arielle), Samuel and Neil; sisters, Mary Shepherd (Rod), Margaret Armitage (Bernie), Cathy Brousseau (Roy), Teddy Drolet; brother, Terry Wilcox.
Besides her mother, she was predeceased by her sister, baby Elizabeth.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, at Stella Maris Church, Louisbourg, from 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will take place 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, at Stella Maris Church, with Fr. Raj. officiating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery, Clarks Road.
