Florence was a devoted member of the former St. Agnes Church, now the Parish of St. Leonard. She was long time member of the Catholic Women's League, and the Aging Gracefully social group, which she attended as recently as last week.
She was active in sports in her younger years, especially basketball and always enjoyed swimming even through her eighties.
She made frequent journeys to visit her children in their homes across Canada and particularly enjoyed several trips to Europe.
Our mother was a remarkable lady. She was very resourceful, responsible, energetic and courageous. She loved her children unconditionally and did all she could to encourage them to be educated and responsible in life.
