Passed suddenly, but peacefully away on September 30, 2012, at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, Lorraine Pearcey, in her 78th year. Predeceased by her husband Harry Frances (November 16, 1993); mother Jean Cox; brothers: Sidney and Douglas. Leaving to mourn daughter Marjorie; son-in-law Paul Walsh (Fox Creek, AB); special friend (as close as a daughter) Pamela Smith (Goulds, NL); sister Geraldine Weir (Jim) (Foxtrap, NL); brothers: Colin (Cora), William (Linda) (Manuels, NL); sister-in-law Ruby Cox (Manuels, NL); grandchildren: Kellyann Walsh (Carl) (Fox Creek, AB), Harry Walsh (Bridget) (Fox Creek, AB); great-grandchildren and love of her life: Margaret (Maggie), Michael, Mitchell, Lilly Jane, Geoffrey, Chasity, Natasha, and Justice (Fox Creek, AB); special nieces: Barbara Hutchings (St. John’s, NL), Lucy Smith (Felix) (Cape Breton, NS); special nephews: Jim Weir (Karen) (Foxtrap, NL), William Weir (Deanne) (Foxtrap, NL), Dennis Weir (Sharon) (Foxtrap, NL); many other nieces, nephews, cousins throughout Canada, United States, and abroad; lifelong friends: Grace Parmiter (Goulds, NL), and Hilda Murphy (St. John’s, NL). Lorraine will be resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Tuesday, October 2nd, 2012 from 2 p.m. - 9 p.m., Wednesday, October 3rd, 2012 from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m., and Thursday, October 4th, 2012 from 10 a.m. - 12 noon. Funeral service to take place at Wesley United Church, on Thursday, October 4th, 2012 at 2:00 p.m., with interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
