It is with great sadness that the family of the late Sophie Brake announce her passing on Tuesday, October 2nd 2012, from the Bonne Bay Hospital in Norris Point at the age of 88. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Marketa (Rolland); Trout River, Beulah (David); Alberta, Mildred; Ontario, Lida (Dave); Mount Moriah, Hubert; Trout River, Emma (Mark); John’s Beach, Jackie (Horace); Port aux Basques, Ina (Jerry); Shoal Brook, Lisa (Christina); Ontario, 18 grandchildren, 18 great- grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandson, and brother Ensell (Patsy), Trout River; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Ambrose, son Edward, brother Rendell, sisters: Elsie, Mildred, Rita, Beulah, baby sister Mildred, and sons- in-law Arch, Ralph and Barry. Friends may visit The Salvation Army Church in Trout River on Thursday 7-9 p.m. and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. from where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 6th, at 2 p.m. with Major Leighton Patey officiating, interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Trout River.
