John Howard Steele
Peacefully surrounded by his family and friends, the death of John Howard Steele of Gaspereaux, occurred on Friday, October 5, 2012 at the Kings County Memorial Hospital.
Born in Gaspereaux he was the son of the late Howard and Laura Steele. John will be missed by his loving wife of 44 years Phyllis (MacDonald) Steele, children; Gaylene (Randy) Patton, Danny (Alicia) Steele, Angela (Greg) Steele and grandchildren; Julia, Kaitlyn, Landon, Brynn and Camden. He will also be missed by his brothers, Laurence (Mary) Steele, Jimmy Steele, Newman (Debby) Steele; sister, Betty (Larry) Condon; sisters-in-law, Carol (Johnny) Power, Janet (Stirling) Whiteway, Kay (Junior) Condon, Virginia MacDonald; brother-in-law, Joseph (Brenda) MacDonald; and his many nieces and nephews. Aside from his parents he is predeceased by his sister Rita Lanigan.
Resting at Ferguson-Logan Montague Funeral Home until Monday at 10 a.m., then to St. Paul's Catholic Church, Sturgeon, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the St. Paul's Cemetery. Visitation hours will be held on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
