Born October 1st, 1922 - October 9th, 2012. Passed peacefully away at the Health Science Centre Complex, after a brief illness, in the presence of her family, age 90 years. Predeceased by her husband, Gordon (1951); son James; mother, Ellen Jane Parsons (2005); father, Matthew Parsons (1935); sisters: Alice Vokey and Lilly Drover, and brothers: Mose, William and John Robert. Leaving to mourn three daughters: Rita (Don), Linda (Eddy), Bernice (Mike); three sons: Gordon (Angela), Raymond (Joan), Bernie; grandchildren; special granddaughter- in-law, Jackie; great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Hector, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, and foster children, especially Clara. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, Torbay on Wednesday, from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. and from Pendergast Funeral Home, Bell Island on Thursday from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Michael’s Church, Bell Island on Friday, October 12th, 2012 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Janeway Children’s Hospital or the Children’s Wish Foundation.
